I often wonder, “is there anything better than a Girl Scout cookie?” Invariably my answer is, “yes, if it is re-imagined as a pie.” Check out this month’s special feature, the Samoa Cookie Pie, a must-have for cookie lover’s or anyone with a penchant for toasted coconut, vanilla wafers, caramel and chocolate. You don’t want to miss this ooey, gooey, delight as the pie will last only as long as the cookies do! Pies priced at $18/piece or 2 for $30. Don’t forget, you can still get the popular Thin Mint Cheesecake Pie while quantities last as well.
This winter has been endless. It’s all we ever hear about on the radio, at the watercooler and in the elevator. When will it end?! I have relegated to calling it “Sprinter”, a hybrid between winter and spring where everything from snow, rain and hail can all happen in the span of 24 hours! Regardless of the unpredictability of the weather, at least you can count on the inevitability of the ticking clock and with this, nearing closer (at least calendar-wise) to more forgiving weather. I have come to a reluctant acceptance of Sprinter and with that, introducing some “spring-like” pies to get into the season! Prepare for the upcoming Easter holiday and consider ordering a Lemon Meringue, Mixed Berry, Thin Mint Cheesecake Pie or the new Samoa Cookie Surprise Pie. All specialty pies are priced at $18 each or 2 for $30. Order today and pies will available for delivery (or pick up) up the day before Easter (April 19) till 5:00pm!
People get very emotional about Valentine’s Day. If they are in love, they feel an immense pressure to bestow their loved one with some life-altering token of their affection. If they are not in love, many approach this day with the enthusiasm of a funeral. Personally, I think both extremes are unnecesarry. We need to keep it simple! This is a day of love in it’s many incarnations – love for your husband, your wife, your children, your parents, your friends, your pet! Let’s stop limiting ourselves to this narrow definition of V-Day and just love each other more…and eat pie of course! Pie, Oh My! Cleveland is selling delicious heart shaped cherry hand pies ($15 for 6) and heart-themed fruit pies ($15 each) in cherry, peach, apple, and blueberry to celebrate all things love! Order by February 7th to reserve pick up (at the Pie, Oh My! Cleveland location) or delivery on February 13th.
I realize the weather is awful. I mean really awful. But, would you consider leaving your cocoon of warmth to see a free movie and escape the cabin fever doldrums? If you said,”yes” you will want to take advantage of this great deal! On Tuesday, 1/28 at 7:30pm at Regal Crocker Park in Westlake, you have the opportunity to attend an advanced screening of Labor Day, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin – FOR FREE! Based on the novel by Joyce Maynard, the movie centers around a lonely single mother, her son, and how a mysterious stranger turns their world upside down over the course of a Labor Day weekend. In one of the pivotal scenes in the movie, Brolin’s character teaches the mother and son how to make a pie, a central theme in the movie.
